01 · What changed
Three tools for Enterprise admins.
What changed: Enterprise admins now have three tools in one release. Smart reports show what work a team does in Claude and what it costs, in-app surveys ask the team what that work is worth, and pooled group budgets give each team one shared budget. In practice, a COO can pick the deal team and a date range and see whether its Claude work is IC memos, credit agreement reviews or weekly status reports, where it gets stuck, and what it spends.
- 1
Workstreams and spend
Pick a team, a date range and the products to include. Claude groups a sample of the team's transcripts into workstreams and shows the spend and deliverables for each.
- 2
Points of friction
Reports list the most common points of friction, such as a missing connector or a failed tool call.
- 3
One list of recommendations
Each report ends with one consolidated list, including recurring workflows to turn into skills and rules to add to a code repository. Any finding can be shared as an artifact.
- 4
Custom questions
Reports answer custom questions about model usage and cost. Admins can save questions and custom insights as templates for future reports.
- 5
Raise limits from the report
If a spend limit is holding someone back, admins with billing permission can raise it from the report.
- 6
Reports for team leads
Owners can let team leads who are not admins run reports for their own groups.
- 7
In-app surveys
Default questions ask about value, such as what would break first if the team lost access tomorrow. Admins can change or remove questions and choose who gets a survey, when and where.
- 8
Pooled group budgets
Admins can set one shared budget per team.
02 · What it means
What it means for your seat.
A seat count says who has Claude, not what they do with it. This release puts the work, its cost and the team's own view of its value in one place. Anthropic says smart reports are for understanding adoption and planning investment, and not for evaluating individual performance.
Leadership
You can now see which teams do substantive work in Claude and what that work costs, workstream by workstream. Use it to decide where to put enablement effort and budget, for example whether the credit team needs a connector to its data room before it needs more seats.
Operations
Reports name recurring workflows worth turning into skills, so a process one analyst built for inbound email triage or a weekly status report can be shared with the rest of the firm. Pooled group budgets let you give a deal team one shared budget.
Risk and compliance
Smart reports are built by analyzing a sample of team transcripts, so agree who may run them before owners extend access to team leads who are not admins. Anthropic states the reports are not for evaluating individual performance or making employment decisions; write that into your internal policy for the tool.
Enterprise admins
You choose the team, date range and products for each report, can save questions as templates, and can raise a spend limit from the report if you have billing permission. You also control survey questions, recipients, timing and placement, and set pooled budgets per team.
