01 · What changed

Two betas and three graduations.

Anthropic says asking questions of company data usually means filing a ticket or writing SQL, and ideas that would land better in motion end up as another static slide. Dashboards and Motion let a person ask for the chart or the animation itself, then see how Claude made it. Docs, Slides and Design are now out of beta on every plan, with CMEK support for artifacts and admin control over templates. For Enterprise admins, Dashboards and Motion are off by default, and Docs, Slides and Design turn on by default on 15 October.

   Claude Dashboards

   Connect Amazon Redshift, BigQuery, ClickHouse, Databricks or Snowflake, or a connector like Salesforce, and ask in plain language. Click any number to see its query, and each chart shows when its data was last refreshed.

   Hand-off to BI tools

   Send a dashboard to Amplitude, Grafana, Hex, Mixpanel, Omni, Perplexity, PostHog or Sigma for deeper analysis. Databricks Genie, Looker, monday.com and Tableau are listed as coming soon.

   Claude Motion

   Turns a prompt into a short animation built as editable code, downloadable as an MP4. Anthropic says it uses no video generation model, so there is no generated footage and no AI-generated people.

   Docs, Slides, Design GA

   Out of beta and on every plan, including Free. Anthropic says people have made more than 45 million docs, decks and designs in Claude.

   Enterprise controls

   Artifacts now support CMEK, and admins choose which artifact templates their organization uses. Sharing outside the organization or by link works only if the admin allows it.

   Co-editing and exports

   Your team and Claude can work on the same doc, deck, design or dashboard. PowerPoint and PDF downloads keep the editor's formatting, and decks go to Google Slides as editable files.

   Standalone Design closes

   claude.ai/design stays open until 14 December, then folds into Claude. Chats, comments and public links on the standalone site will not be available after it closes.

02 · What it means

What it means for your seat.

For an investment firm, Dashboards puts a live view of pipeline or portfolio data one question away, with the query visible to anyone who wants to check it. Motion and the now generally available Docs and Slides change how a board pack or LP update gets drafted. The decisions sit with admins: which data connections, which sharing settings, and what to move off claude.ai/design before 14 December.
