Claude partners for private equity

# A Claude rollout inside the fund is work for a _smaller_ team.

Yes. KPMG's May 2026 alliance with Anthropic names it a preferred consultant for private equity, and the private equity work it describes centres on portfolio companies: helping them use Claude and agents, and co-developing Claude products for them. A fund rolling out Claude to its own deal, IR and finance teams can search Anthropic's directory of service partners, which lists 321 firms in three tiers, and judge each on who delivers and on whose documents.

By [Tim Miner](/about-us/tim-miner), founder and CEO · Published 22 October 2026

Anthropic sells Claude to investment firms directly and through service partners, the consultancies and systems integrators that roll it out. Its financial services page lists a dedicated FSI solutions team and SI partnerships for enterprise rollout. A private equity firm choosing a partner is choosing who sits with its own people, on its own CIMs, LP letters and quarter-end files.

The partner bench is wide. Anthropic's marketplace lists 321 service partners in three tiers: Global Premier, Preferred and Select. The Global Premier tier includes Accenture, Bain, Boston Consulting Group, Capgemini, Cognizant and Deloitte. Most of the list sits in the Select tier.

The KPMG alliance

## What does the KPMG and Anthropic alliance _cover_ for private equity?

If your firm was shown KPMG first, start with what the announcement says it will do.

KPMG and Anthropic announced a global alliance on 19 May 2026, with an initial focus on tax clients and private equity firms. Anthropic named KPMG a preferred consultant for private equity. KPMG's release says KPMG in the U.S. will help portfolio companies responsibly use Anthropic AI and agents, and that the two firms will co-develop Claude-powered products for portfolio companies.

Read closely, the private equity half of the alliance is written for the companies a fund owns.

The platform is KPMG Digital Gateway, built on Microsoft Azure, where Claude Cowork and Managed Agents let professionals and clients build agentic workflows. The PE offerings include KPMG Blaze, which can embed Claude Code to help accelerate IT modernisation. KPMG firms operate in 138 countries with more than 276,000 people, and that workforce has access to Claude.

That fits an operating partner running a programme across the portfolio. A COO who wants the fund's own deal, IR and finance teams using Claude well is asking for different work. Anthropic's financial services launch also lists KPMG as helping financial services companies deploy AI assistants and agents to developers and analysts, so ask KPMG directly what it offers at fund level.

The Anthropic venture

## Is the new Anthropic, Blackstone and Goldman venture an option for the _fund_?

The announcements describe operating companies. Anthropic, Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman and Goldman Sachs announced a new AI services company, which CNBC reported in May 2026 as a $1.5 billion firm. Anthropic says it will work with mid-sized companies across sectors, with Anthropic Applied AI engineers working alongside its own engineers to build custom solutions.

CNBC reported that it will deploy Claude inside businesses starting with companies owned by the investment firms, then target other mid-sized companies, especially PE-owned businesses in healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, retail and real estate. Anthropic's examples are a community bank, a mid-sized manufacturer and a regional health system. The company will also join the Claude Partner Network.

For a fund, that makes it a portfolio resource. The question KPMG leaves open stays open: who works with the deal team, IR and finance at the fund itself.

The partner directory

## Where do you find a _smaller_ Claude partner that works with funds?

Anthropic publishes the list. Its filters do most of the narrowing.

Anthropic's Claude marketplace lists its service partners with filters that map onto the question. There are three tiers: Global Premier, Preferred and Select. A partner can be filtered by industry expertise, including Financial Services & Insurance; by customer size served, down to Micro SMB (under 100 employees) and SMB (100 to 500 employees); and by engagement type, including Training Package and Managed / Recurring.

### Services offered

Claude Training Sessions, Rollout & Activation, Sustained Adoption / CoE Program and Ongoing Cowork / Claude Code Scaled User Support describe work with a fund's own people.

### Delivery location

Filter for on-site or hybrid delivery and United States office locations if you want someone in the room with the deal team.

### Tier

The tier shows where a firm sits in Anthropic's network. It says nothing about private equity, so read each shortlisted partner's own pages and ask for work on documents like yours.

Inside the fund

## What should a Claude rollout _inside_ a private equity firm include?

Name the documents first: the CIM, the IC memo, the LP letter, the quarter-end file.

Inside the fund, the work is mostly reading, and the documents differ by desk. A deal team works a live CIM, IR works the investor inbox, finance works the quarterly roll forward. The scope is one fund, from a single deal team upward, on the Claude licence the fund already has. Anthropic's tools fit that work: Claude for Excel runs in a sidebar inside workbooks, and its due diligence skill turns data room documents into spreadsheets.

### 1. A policy compliance signs

[One page](/guides/ai-usage-policy-investment-firms) on what may go in, what may not and who decides the edge cases, signed off before anything touches a data room.

### 2. Sessions on each desk's own files

Short sessions by function, on the tool the firm licensed, so people do real work once with someone watching.

### 3. A standing adoption programme

Practice across the whole firm, direct work with the teams who stalled, and a monthly count of who uses the tools well, by desk.

### 4. One process rebuilt

A single process with real volume, such as investor-email triage, rebuilt with Claude and owned by the fund's people.

Licence utilisation will not show whether any of it worked. Track how many people use the tools well on their own work, read monthly by desk.

Choosing

## How do you _judge_ a boutique against a Big Four team for a Claude rollout?

Size alone settles little. A global firm can staff a small team, and a small firm can be thin on private equity. Ask both the same four things and compare the answers in writing.

### Who delivers

The people who scope the work should be the people in the room each week. Ask for names.

### Whose documents

Sessions should run on the fund's own CIMs, credit agreements and LP letters, or on mock files written for its functions, never on generic samples.

### What gets counted

Ask what figure arrives each month. Licence utilisation counts logins. People using the tools well, by desk, counts adoption.

### Who owns the build

Any process built should be written by the fund's people and run without the partner after the last day.

## Questions on Big Four alternatives for Claude

### Is KPMG Anthropic's preferred partner for private equity?

Anthropic named KPMG a preferred consultant for private equity in a global alliance announced on 19 May 2026. KPMG's release says KPMG in the U.S. will be a preferred consultant for deploying Anthropic AI capabilities to PE clients, helping portfolio companies use Anthropic AI and agents. Anthropic's marketplace lists 321 service partners in total across three tiers, and lets a buyer filter them by financial services expertise.

### What is the Claude Partner Network?

It is Anthropic's network of consulting and systems integration firms that deliver Claude. Anthropic's marketplace lists 321 service partners in three tiers, Global Premier, Preferred and Select, and lets a buyer filter them by industry, services, customer size, engagement type and location. Accenture, Deloitte and PwC are among the large members Anthropic names.

### Can a private equity firm work with Anthropic directly instead of a consultant?

Anthropic's financial services page lists a dedicated FSI solutions team, flexible deployment across AWS, Google Cloud and Azure, and SI partnerships for enterprise rollout. Its Claude for Financial Services launch describes implementation support with tailored onboarding and training. A partner adds the time spent with each desk on its own documents.

### Does the Anthropic and Blackstone venture work with fund teams?

The announcements describe operating companies. Anthropic says the company will work with mid-sized companies across sectors, and CNBC reported it will start with companies owned by its backers, including Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman and Goldman Sachs, before other mid-sized companies. Neither describes work with a fund's own deal or IR teams.

### What has By The People done with private equity firms?
