Claude Design makes on-brand visuals, Claude Slides makes presentations, and Claude Docs makes living documents you write with Claude and your team. Since 8 October all three are out of beta and on every plan, including Free. For larger firms the date matters most: shared documents, written partly by Claude and shareable by link, arrive whether or not you have decided how they should be used. ### 1. Claude Docs 1\. A rich-text doc with headings, tables and tabs. Claude drafts it, asks questions first and explains its choices. ### 2. Comments and @Claude 2\. Mention @Claude in a comment and it makes the change and says why. Every edit is attributed. ### 3. Permissions 3\. Claude edits only when a signed-in person asks, and only with that person’s access. ### 4. Charts from your data 4\. Built from a connected app such as Salesforce or Google Sheets. They do not refresh on their own. ### 5. Slides and Design 5\. Presentations get their own starting point. Design edits on a canvas and imports your design system. ### 6. Enterprise default 6\. Docs, Slides and Design are on by default from 15 October. Owners manage them under Artifacts in Organization settings. 02 · What it means ## What it means for _your_ seat. Most firms already use Claude to draft, then paste the draft into Word or PowerPoint, then lose the thread of who changed what. Docs keeps the draft, the edits and the reasoning in one place, with a record of which lines came from Claude. ### Leadership Internal documents can now be drafted and revised in Claude by a team together. The first ones worth moving are the recurring ones: the weekly status report, the account brief before a call. ### Your teams The attribution on every change makes review faster: the reviewer sees exactly which lines Claude wrote. Charts are snapshots, so a number in a report is only as fresh as the last time someone asked Claude to refresh it. ### Risk and compliance A doc can be shared by link. Decide who may share outside the firm and what may go into a shared doc, and put it on the same page as the rest of your AI usage rules. 03 · Setting it up ## What an Enterprise owner should settle. 0 of 3 done 1. 01 · Tell staff what is on : Docs, Slides and Design are on for Enterprise users from 15 October. A short note to staff on what they are for and where the sharing rule lives saves the questions. 2. 02 · Write the sharing rule : One line on link sharing and one on what may go into a shared doc. If your firm has an AI usage page, it belongs there. 3. 03 · Move one recurring document : Pick the weekly report that takes longest to assemble and build next week’s in Claude Docs, from the connected sources, with the team editing in place. A rich-text document you write with Claude and your team, saved to your Claude account. Claude drafts it, asks clarifying questions, leaves comments explaining its choices, and edits on request; teammates with access edit at the same time, and every change is attributed. ### When do Claude Docs, Slides and Design turn on for Enterprise plans? By default from 15 October 2026. Owners manage them in Organization settings under Artifacts. ### Do charts in Claude Docs update automatically? No. Charts built from a connected app such as Salesforce or Google Sheets are snapshots. To refresh one, ask Claude to pull the latest data. ### Can Claude edit a document I only have view access to? No. Claude always acts with the permissions of the person who asked, so it cannot edit a doc for someone who only has view access.
