Anthropic has released Claude Dashboards and Claude Motion in beta. Dashboards connects to a data platform like Snowflake, BigQuery or Databricks, or a CRM like Salesforce, builds charts from a plain-language question and keeps them current. Every number shows the query behind it. Anthropic says asking questions of company data usually means filing a ticket or writing SQL, and ideas that would land better in motion end up as another static slide. Dashboards and Motion let a person ask for the chart or the animation itself, then see how Claude made it. Docs, Slides and Design are now out of beta on every plan, with CMEK support for artifacts and admin control over templates. For Enterprise admins, Dashboards and Motion are off by default, and Docs, Slides and Design turn on by default on 15 October. ### 1. Claude Dashboards 1\. Connect Amazon Redshift, BigQuery, ClickHouse, Databricks or Snowflake, or a connector like Salesforce, and ask in plain language. Click any number to see its query, and each chart shows when its data was last refreshed. ### 2. Hand-off to BI tools 2\. Send a dashboard to Amplitude, Grafana, Hex, Mixpanel, Omni, Perplexity, PostHog or Sigma for deeper analysis. Databricks Genie, Looker, monday.com and Tableau are listed as coming soon. ### 3. Claude Motion 3\. Turns a prompt into a short animation built as editable code, downloadable as an MP4. Anthropic says it uses no video generation model, so there is no generated footage and no AI-generated people. ### 4. Docs, Slides, Design GA 4\. Out of beta and on every plan, including Free. Anthropic says people have made more than 45 million docs, decks and designs in Claude. ### 5. Enterprise controls 5\. Artifacts now support CMEK, and admins choose which artifact templates their organization uses. Sharing outside the organization or by link works only if the admin allows it. ### 6. Co-editing and exports 6\. Your team and Claude can work on the same doc, deck, design or dashboard. PowerPoint and PDF downloads keep the editor's formatting, and decks go to Google Slides as editable files. ### 7. Standalone Design closes 7\. claude.ai/design stays open until 14 December, then folds into Claude. Chats, comments and public links on the standalone site will not be available after it closes. 02 · What it means ## What it means for _your_ seat. For an investment firm, Dashboards puts a live view of pipeline or portfolio data one question away, with the query visible to anyone who wants to check it. Motion and the now generally available Docs and Slides change how a board pack or LP update gets drafted. The decisions sit with admins: which data connections, which sharing settings, and what to move off claude.ai/design before 14 December. ### Leadership Dashboards gives people a way to answer quick questions about company data without waiting on a ticket. Anthropic positions it for exploratory questions and says it works alongside your BI and analytics tools. Decide which data platforms and CRM connectors you are comfortable having Claude query, and which team pilots it first. ### Your teams A deal team can ask for a dashboard of Salesforce opportunities, click any figure to see the query, and check when it last refreshed before it goes into a weekly status report. Motion can turn a chart from a quarterly report into a 30-second explainer for an all-hands, exported as MP4. PowerPoint and PDF exports from Slides now keep the formatting you see in the editor. ### Risk and compliance Each chart shows its query and refresh time, and each animation is code you can edit, which gives reviewers something concrete to check. Anthropic says Motion uses no video generation model, so there is no generated footage and no AI-generated people. Review the new option to share slides, dashboards and animations outside the organization or by link, which works only if your admin allows it. ### Enterprise admins Dashboards and Motion are off by default; turn them on in Organization settings > Artifacts. Docs, Slides and Design are on by default from 15 October, and artifacts support CMEK and admin-chosen templates. If teams used claude.ai/design, click "Migrate team design systems" on the Artifacts page before 14 December. 03 · This week ## What to do this week. 0 of 3 done 1. 01 · Set sharing and templates for Docs and Slides : Docs, Slides and Design are on by default for Enterprise from 15 October. Decide whether external and link sharing is allowed and which artifact templates your organization uses. 2. 02 · Pilot Dashboards on one data source : Turn on Dashboards in Organization settings > Artifacts for a small group and connect one source, such as Snowflake or Salesforce. Ask the group to check the query behind each number before sharing a chart. 3. 03 · Migrate design systems from claude.ai/design : On the Artifacts page, click "Migrate team design systems" to bring over every design system in one step. Claude Dashboards is in beta on paid plans and Claude Motion is in beta on Team and Enterprise. Claude Docs, Slides and Design are out of beta and available on every plan, including Free. ### Which data sources does Claude Dashboards connect to? Anthropic says the standalone site stays at claude.ai/design until 14 December, after which Design works only inside Claude. Design systems can be migrated from the Artifacts page, but chats, comments and public links on standalone projects will not be available after it closes.
