01 · What changed

## What Anthropic shipped.

What changed: Code Review is out of research preview. Anthropic says most reviews now finish about 3x faster than during the preview (about 20 minutes down to 6 to 10 minutes), and findings state the problem, what triggers it and the fix in a few sentences. Admins choose Quick, Standard (the default) or Deep for each repository. In practice, every new pull request gets a written first review before a human reviewer opens it.

02 · What it means

## What it means for _your_ seat.

For an investment firm, this matters wherever people write code: an internal data team, a deal tooling group or the engineers who build on Claude. It changes who reads a pull request first. It also puts a dated decision in front of Enterprise admins about the credits.

### Leadership

If your firm has engineers building internal tools on GitHub, Code Review gives each new pull request a written review before a person reads it. Anthropic frames it as an answer to coding agents producing code faster than people can review it. Your decisions are which repositories it covers and whether to claim the Enterprise credits by 15 January 2027.

### IT and engineering

Once an admin enables it, reviews run automatically on new pull requests and developers need no configuration. Anthropic says each finding states the problem, what triggers it and the fix, and most reviews finish in 6 to 10 minutes. Treat it as the first reader on a change to, say, the job that builds the weekly status report, with a human still approving the merge.

### Enterprise admins

Anthropic lists three steps: enable Code Review in your Claude Code settings, install the GitHub App and select the repositories to review. You set Quick, Standard (the default) or Deep per repository, so the code behind the board pack can get Deep while routine scripts get Quick. Credits expire 30 days after you claim them, so claim when reviews are ready to run.

### Risk and compliance

Reviews run on the repositories an admin selects, so agree that list, and what code sits in it, before the GitHub App is installed. Keep your existing human approval step for merging code; nothing in Anthropic's announcement replaces it. The credit offer says terms apply, so read them before anyone claims.

03 · Before 15 January

## What to do before 15 January.

0 of 3 done

1. 01 · Choose repositories and review levels : List the repositories worth reviewing and set each to Quick, Standard or Deep. Put Deep on the code your firm relies on most, such as the pipeline that loads data room files.
2. 02 · Enable Code Review and install the GitHub App : An admin turns on Code Review in Claude Code settings, installs the GitHub App and selects the agreed repositories. Reviews then run on new pull requests.
3. 03 · Claim Enterprise credits when ready to use them : If your Enterprise organization is eligible, claim the credits by 15 January 2027. They expire 30 days after claiming, so claim once reviews are running and read the terms first.
